
David Russell Davis, 60, passed away in Redding on March 16, 2023. David was born in Hoopa, CA. He was a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. The 1964 flood wiped out the family home in Hoopa, so they moved to Palo Cedro where David was raised. David's family attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Redding. David worked in construction / electrical work in both Eureka and Redding. A big sports fan, he loved the San Francisco Giants and Raiders Football teams. David loved to golf, watching the pro's on TV was a favorite past time for him when his disabilities prevented him from going out on the course. His younger days often found him on dirt bikes, riding and racing. City of Redding Softball League was another favorite sport.
David is survived by his son, Alex (Jaina), mother Lori Davis, brother Dana (Connie), nephew Jason, and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. He also leaves behind many beloved relatives. He is predeceased by his father Vernon "Tug" Gerald Davis, brother "Jerry" Davis, paternal grand parents Ollie Abe and Lafayette Davis, maternal grand parents Carrie and Henry Greenwalt
A memorial service will be held Tuesday April 25 11 am. Lunch after. Redding Seventh Day Adventist Church 2828 Eureka Way, Redding, CA 96001
Interment date to be determined later, weather permitting, and will be at the Millville Cemetery 23799 Old 44 Dr, Millville, CA 96062
