Dolores Abney passed away October 26, 2011 at the age of 86, in the Willow Springs Alzheimer's Facility with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Oakland, CA. She was raised in Chico, CA., and graduated from Chico High.
After high school she worked for the U. S. Army Air Corps at Chico Metro Airport where she met and married Clarence "Mac" McCulley. They finally settled in Alturas, CA., They lived and worked there until Mac's death in 1974. In their 30 year marriage they had two daughters, Kristine and Janet.
In 1983 she met Robert "Bob" Abney. They have been married for 24 years.
She leaves behind her husband Bob, daughters Kristine and Janet and her step children Kathleen, Maureen,Sharon and Robb plus nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Services will be held at McDonald's Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 3rd at 1 p.m., with a reception held at McDonald's Hospitality House afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or the Alzheimer's Foundation. There will be a visitation on November 2, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDonald's Funeral Chapel.

I am so sorry to hear that Dee passed away. As MaryEllen said, she truly blessed the lives of so many children... and staff at Sycamore Elementary. I will always remember her fondness for humming birds and how kind she was to others. I'm very sorry. Prayers to her entire family... fondly, Barbara Gaskin
