The daughter of John and Estie Parks. she had two sisters, Francis Graham and Jean Rothe both deceased.
After High School the sisters moved to Los Angeles. Allene worked at the movie studios as a make up artist. She also did modeling at such venues as the Hollywood Bowl. She met her husband, a pilot just out of the Navy from WWII, Ben W. Brooks, (deceased).
The family live a short time in Van Nuys and Burbank before settling in Redding, Ca Allene's husband owned Associated Brokers and Allene worked for many years as the office manager.
She also volunteered for the Mercy Pink Ladies. Enjoyed the Riverview Golf and Country Club.
After her husband passed away, she enjoyed travel to such places as China and Europe. Usually with her good friend Rocky Main.
Her real pleasure was to get away to the family home in Sunriver Oregon, where she would spend weeks walking and attending concerts She loved art, and the symphony. Her favorite ritual every afternoon was pour a glass of chardonnay and listen to Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and her favorite singer, Tony Bennett.
A wonderful woman, a great wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves behind, son John Brooks (Justine), of Concord, Ca, and Greg Brooks (Barbara), of Palo Cedro, Ca , her daughter who was Greg's twin, Deborah is deceased.
The Family would like to thank all the people at the Vistas who made her life comfortable toward the end.
In keeping with her wishes there will be a private memorial at McDonalds Chapel.
The family asks that no flowers be sent. instead send a donation to the Shasta Symphony Orchestra.
Put on some good music, raise a glass and wish Allene a good journey.
