Beloved Grandpa Gene to my 5 children and 8 grandchildren. An incredible man - faithful, loving, funny, helpful, supportive, tenderhearted. Blessed husband to my mother for 33 years. I love you always.

Gene and I were good friends for many years. we were firefighters in Contra Costa County until our retirements. Our sons, Steve and Ron have continued our family friendship working in the same fire service together. I will always remember Gene for his humor and smile.

Our sincerest sympathy to you all. Dad and your dad joined the fire dept the same day.

Eugene was a very special friend.. I had the privilege of visiting him for sometime and every time I visited him he always gave me a smile and a handshake.. His humor, smile and enjoying talking with others was a great joy.. He loved to share about life and the blessings of his family... Even when I visited at times when he did not know me he always greeted me with that smile, handshake and the willingness to just talk..  He has left a special impact in our lives...
