

Frank passed away on May 22nd, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center after having heart complications, with loving family by his side and waiting at home. Frank was born to Winifred and Charles Johnson in Ohio on June 14th, 1927. When he turned 10 they moved to Arizona where he lived till he signed up for the navy at the young age of 16. Serving 12 months in WW2 stationed in Okinawa at a military hospital. After the war he met the love of his life, Amy Hayward of Lewiston, Ca in Lewiston, Ca at the weekly dance. Shortly after they began their 63 year marriage in Stroke Creek on May 21st, 1947. Both dumber then rocks and just as poor. Frank started his life dream of becoming a truck driver at a small logging company in Trinity county. Then bought his own truck and became one of the best owner operators of his time. After having the children and moving around they finally bought a little piece of heaven in Anderson, Ca. As a long haul truck driver, Frank worked and ran such companies as J. H. Rose and eventually retired from Combined Transport after 55+ long years of driving trucks. Frank loved being home with his beloved family and animals. He is survived by 5 children; Robert Johnson, Sandra McCain, Gary Johnson, Sharon Johnson and Jody Johnson. Blessed with 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Services will be held on June 6th at 11 am at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo. Full military honors will be conducted by the honor guard.
