Joseph Wayne Leventon

Joe was born April 29, 1984 in Redding, CA to parents Tim Leventon and Angela Akkerman.

Joe graduated from Weed High School in Weed, CA.

Joe moved to Lookout to be close to his grandparents Don and Betty Leventon and families. He became a CNA and worked at Mayers Memorial Hospital caring for numerous patients he dearly thought the world of. Then he went to work in several retail businesses here in the valley all while getting involved with the Lookout/Adin Fire Departments and First Responders.

Joe was a kind hearted, fun loving, caring person that continuously checked in on his family members to make sure they were doing ok. If you were blessed by his acceptance you were blessed for life. Joe enjoyed hunting and helping any of his friends work cattle. He also got so much joy harassing family members with a countdown to Christmas beginning with the day after Christmas every year. One of his other favorite things was playing Phase 10 and other games with cousins and family.

Joe is survived by his father Tim Leventon of Lookout, CA, his mother Angela Akkerman of Montague, CA, and 2 sisters, Cherly Rushton of Doris, CA and Kristen Leventon of Weed, CA.

Three Aunts and numerous cousins he was as close to and thought of as brothers and sisters. Joe was proceeded in death by his grandparents Don and Betty Leventon.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Lookout Fire Hall, Lookout, CA, with a potluck and fellowship to follow.

The family will furnish the meat if those attending will bring side dishes and or desserts.
