Mary C. Brace, 79, of Redding died Saturday at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Mary Brace of Redding, passed on March 24, 2012 and is at peace.

Mary grew up in Canton, New York, where she graduated from St. Lawrence University. While there, she met her husband Kimber of New Jersey who had come to New York to attend nearby Clarkson University. They moved to Southern California where Kimber went to work in the aircraft industry. They raised their family in Long Beach. Mary taught school from time to time while raising her family.

They retired to Redding in 1992 to be near their son who had come to Redding to work for Cal trans.

Mary is survived by her husband Kimber of 57 years.

Son Chris (Cathy) of redding and Clark (Felicity) of Denver, Colorado also grandaughters Rachel and Stephanie of Denver.

Sister Jane of Long Beach. With many nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her son Craig.

A private family services, with Pastor Rod Brayfindley as the Officiant held at McDonald's Chapel.
