Phyllis M Moon

Phyllis Moon, 87, of Redding, CA, passed away on July 31, 2014 in Redding, CA with her husband Robert Moon of 28 years by her side.

Arrangements are being made by McDonald's Chapel.

Phyllis was born in Walhalla, North Dakota to Magdalene and James Moorhead on June 27, 1927. She went to school in Walhalla, N.D., upon completion of high school she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. She was involved in Redding Elks R.V. Club, Elks Lodge 1073, Emblem Club, Moose Lodge and Redding Golf and Country Club.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and son Teddy.

Phyllis is survived by husband, Robert (Bob) Moon; daughter, Diane & Tony Cecin; son, Phil Chilton; brother, Jim & Barbara Moorhead; brother, Bob & Donna Moorhead; grandson, Jason & Jennifer Chilton; grandson, Tom & Wendy Moon; grandson Josh & Katie Moon; 7 great-grandchildren; and Robert & Pam Moon.

Phyllis loved to travel with her husband Bob and together they visited all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico, in their RV. Phyllis had a love for activities of fishing and golfing with her family and friends.

She enjoyed spending time with the "lunch" girls and shopping.

Memorial service will be Thursday, August 7th, 11 to 3 at the Redding Elks Lodge 1073,
