Robert "Bob" Eugene Conn

Robert "Bob" Eugene Conn was born January 22, 1937 to Jeannette & Cleve Conn in Muncie, Indiana, and grew up with siblings Charles, Barbara and Marcia.He married the love of his life, Evelyn Woehrle, on December 23rd, 1961 and together they raised four children, fostered many and were 'mum & dad' to many more. Robert was preceded in going home by his wife who graduated to Heaven in 2007 and is survived by their children Stephen Conn and wife Annette, Lyndon Conn and wife Amy, Cheryl and husband Robert Langley, Mary and husband Tyrone Garay. He loved and was adored by all his grandchildren; Uriah, Amber, Robert, Ashleigh, Tiffany, Joshua, Amanda, Justin, Austin, Devin, Emily, Samuel and Carlotta. He was blessed to enjoy five great-grandchildren.Bob served in the United States Navy on the USS Essex and later worked at Simpson Paper Company for 36 years. He was a faithful pillar of the church and enjoyed ushering and working in the altar and headed multiple building projects. He was admired for his steadiness and compassion for others and was often relied on for good advice.Heaven gained a precious saint on March 13th, 2015 as Bob gave up his spirit to be with His Lord and Savior. Viewing and visitation will be held at McDonald's Chapel at 1275 Continental St., Redding on Friday, March 20th. Public is invited from 4-7 pm, 3-4 pm is reserved for immediate family. Services will be held at New Life Church of God at 10582 Old Oregon Trail in Redding on Saturday, March 21st at 10 am. Graveside services and military honors will follow at Lawncrest Memorial Park at 1522 East Cypress Ave., Redding. -
