Ronald Wayne Goebel was born December 14, 1936 in Braham, Minnesota; as the oldest of three children of Earnest and Violet Goebel.
In 1947 the family moved to Hood River, Oregon where they lived until 1955. From 1955-1959 they lived in Escondido, California. In 1959 the family moved to Redding.
Ron was in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964 He was stationed in Germany.
Ronald married Joy Christian on June 18, 1983.
He worked at the Post office from the time he got out of the service until he retired in 2004 which was 40 years.
He taught Sunday school and was a faithful member of Mt, Calvary Lutheran Church.
Ron departed his life on March 12, 2016 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his Son, Timothy Goebel; his Daughter and Son-in-law, Katie and Matthew Martin; his sister, Mavis Simmons; and his brother Clark Goebel, all of Redding.
His final place of rest will be with his wife at Redding Memorial Park on Continental St. in Redding, Ca.
