Sal is a wonderful person.  His humor and knowledge of who Jesus is and how he shared both will always be remembered by Jim and I.  We will deeply miss him.

Dear Grandpa, 
I'm so devastated about how you had to leave this world, but I have so much joy knowing that you are in eternity with Jesus. Everybody knew you as the man who loved to preach the word of God and tell jokes...lots of jokes! I'm so sorry we were not closer as I got older but I still have such fond memories of you playing mousey with your hanketchief! I remeber you coming over to our house and putting me on your lap and doing the spelling test with me. I remeber I used to ask my dad "daddy why does grandpa always pinch me and smile at me?" My dad would answer because he loves you so much!" I love you grandpa and I'm so sorry for what happened! I'm sorry that I couldn't say goodbye...I'm sorry because we weren't close anymore...I'm sorry for the way you left the earth. But I know I will see you again in heaven. And we can reunite there and praise the Lord together! I'll see you soon!

Knowing that you are with our heavenly father helps bring peace to our hearts in this time of grief! I will always cherish the memories we shared when I was young learning your disciplined skills of nurturing your beautiful garden so that it would be prosperous and fruitful. Much like the reflection of the Lords caring grace and guidance in our lives. Grandpa you always shared the best figs!! The jokes you shared brought laughter into our hearts and joy to our lives. Dear Carole,
We have been heart broken ever since we heard the circumstances surrounding our beloved brother and friend Sal.
We are constantly remind ourselves to stand on GOD's promise, that the moment Sal was absent from his body, he was in the presence of our Father God's glory to meet all the members of the household of faith who have gone before him.
Our prayers have gone out daily for you and your family, as we recall with joy and thanksgiving the great impact Sal had on us and many members of the body of Christ. Our blessed hope is to soon see him in glory.
