On Saturday, April 30, 2016 Sharon Phillips, 87, long time Shasta County resident succumbed to the battle with a long illness.Over the years, Sharon belonged to The First United Methodist Church in Redding, as well as many Service Organizations. She was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Sharon is survived by her son Craig Phillips, his wife Pamela and their daughters, Lauren and Kelsey of Kirkland, Washington. She is also survived by her daughter, Linda Long of Shasta County. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20 at the First United Methodist Church.
