A. "Louise" Crowder Mitchell

A. "Louise" Crowder Mitchell, 76, of Quinton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Artie Crowder; her sisters, Elizabeth O. Wilkins and Willie Ann Spence; niece, Catherine Floyd; and nephew, Randy Spence. Louise earned a degree in business from Smithdeal Massey Business College and later retired as the registrar of the School of Medicine at MCV/VCU with over 40 years of employment. She enjoyed shopping, especially from QVC, vacations in Myrtle Beach, watching the Hallmark Channel, reading books and talking on the phone. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53+ years, Raymond "Ray" Mitchell; sister, Juanita Floyd (Carter); brother, Tommy Crowder (Carolyn); five nieces and six nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a service will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center, Box 843042, Richmond, Va. 23284 or your favorite charity.
