I have not talked to or seen Aunt Gloria in so long.  I would love to talk to her.  If Gloria sees this, maybe she can call me?  305-318-7865.

I know Jacob is going to be going through so much grief and sadness.  I want him to know that if he needs a place to stay, he can stay with me.  I think Daddy would have preferred that, than for Jacob to go to a group home.  I do hope Jacob gets this message, as I have no way to contact him.  He can call me at 305-318-7865

Once we went to Colonial Beach and on the way, we saw a huge, beautiful old farm house on the corner in a small town on the way to the beach.  The house was for sale.  We stopped and investigated.  Daddy was so excited.  He called about the house and it was a huge horse farm.  I wish he had bought it and sold off the land.  Daddy loved to investigate things.  It was so fun.  I will miss him so much.

I will be praying for the family that he left behind. May God give them the grace and peace of His love.   

I really wish that Daddy had kept in touch with his many, many relatives.  Grandma (Monk) Walton, had 17 brothers and sisters!  Nanny had 18 children, 2 sets of twins!  When we got together at Nanny's house on the weekends, we always had Sunday dinner at her house and everybody sat around and talked.  Grandma and many of her brothers and sisters were there.  I remember Uncle Arthur, Aunt Mildred, Uncle Stuart, Uncle Otis, and so many others.  I don't know what happened to the family, but when Nanny and Granddaddy died, the family dispersed!  I wish my family was close like Nanny's family had been.  Daddy was really close to Nanny and I remember her funeral.  I had never seen Daddy cry before and he cried.  It made me so sad.  We will see Nanny and Granddaddy and all these relatives again.

In recent years, I wished we had been closer.  I am so glad I wrote that letter to Daddy.  I wanted him to know that I loved him and I appreciated him being there for me.  He was not perfect and sometimes I was embarrassed by him.  I loved him, no matter what.  I am so sorry he couldn't wait a few more weeks, because I am convinced that we are at the end of Armegeddon, and we will know Christ!  Christ is about to take his throne and rule and reign for one thousand years.  No devil, no demons, no evil!  Just health and wealth and peace and love and joy!  We are so close!  I am sorry Daddy could not have lived to see it.  It's ok.  I know he was Baptised and he loved the Lord.  In 1000 years, we will see him again.  I am happy he was my Daddy and I am who I am today because of him.

All these things, my memories of my Dad, good, bad, ugly, are all part of my life.  Recently, I could not get in touch with Daddy.  I wrote him a letter and let him know how I feel.  I told him how much he means to me and how all my memories:  good, bad, and ugly have shaped me to the person I am today.  I have to say that being a father does not mean the biological creation of a person.  Anyone can do that.  A true father is the person who is there for you.  The person who raises you.  The person who puts a roof over your head.  The person that puts food in your belly and makes sure you have heat in the winter.  I have so many memories of Daddy giving me money for my grades and taking hours helping me with math homework.  He was making sure I did well in school and making sure I was growing up with a love of the Lord and respect for my family.  I love him and I will miss him.

Daddy was very close to Nanny and Granddaddy.  I have so many memories!  Once Daddy caught me in Granddaddy's bedroom and he whipped me with Granddaddy's razor strap!  I think I was about 7!  We used to go to Nanny and Granddaddy's house every weekend.  Sometimes Mamma and Daddy would leave me there all weekend.  Stuart and Stevie and Debbie were usually there.  Kenny, from down the road came over and we would ride our bikes and play outside and chase the roosters who always ended up chasing us.  Once we found a dead body in the gravel pit across the street, which is where Eastgate Mall is now.  The woman had been abducted and murdered from the bus stop.  

There's so much more!  Daddy loved music and he loved the beach.  I am so glad that Daddy came down and spent some time with me.  He helped me with gardening and he painted my house.  He did a wall that has knock down that's just beautiful!  He loved decorating for Christmas.  That was his holiday!  Daddy and I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar and we met the cast afterwards.  Once, when he was living in Englewood, I took him to a fancy steakhouse and we were both in heaven.  We went to tennis matches and parties together.  He came to my house for Thanksgiving once and gave me a compliment, which he really never did!  It meant so much to me.  He told me I am a fantastic cook and he said I cook so calmly!  I am happy to have known his Great Grandparents, Nanny and Granddaddy.  I have many happy memories of their house.

Alvin Rudolph Kirby, Sr. was my Daddy!  From my earliest memory, he was there for me.  When I was about 4, we lived in Highland Springs apartments (apartment K).  I was running on the sidewalk with Mamma.  Daddy was at work.  I fell and my teeth went through my lip.  Blood was everywhere!  Mamma called Daddy and he sped home from work and raced (and I mean, raced) me to the hospital where I got 18 stitches in my lip.  He taught me to swim.  He taught me a love for the beach and for the ocean.  I remember coloring with him as a very little kid.  He colored with a black outline.  He taught me a love of creation and beauty.  Every Christmas I put out a written message he gave me in my Bible that eternal life comes through Jesus Christ.  Daddy loved his cocker spaniel and when that dog died, I really don't believe he ever got over it.
