Anne Ukrop Valack, 101, died February 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Valack. She is survived by one brother, Sam Ukrop (Emily); two children, Richard Valack (Mary Catherine) and Joyce Holder (Brent); six grandchildren, Margaret Sitter (Mark), Cathe Smith (Billy), Steven Valack, Brent Holder (Susan), Tamara Holder, and Christopher Holder (Rachel); ten great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Valack was a dedicated member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Special thanks to Mrs. Anne Pitt and the caring staff at Covenant Columns Manor. A funeral service will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 5270 Charles City Road, Richmond, VA 23231 on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the church building fund.
