I’ve known you since the first day I moved to Henrico. I walked into the class in 8th grade and you were one of the first friends that I made that day! I will never forget you.  Homeroom/math was fun! I’m glad we all reconnected thanks to Facebook! My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Have a beautiful birthday in Heaven tomorrow my friend.

It's so hard to put into words feeling I have right now. I've known you since 1st grade.  We have been best friends ever since, I even consider you my brother. All the memories I have of you will always been tattooed on my heart. 

I am so sorry that I never made time to go out to lunch with you or dinner with our families. I do know that one day we will meet again and I promise we will hang out more. 

I know you are looking down on us all now and you will be protecting all of us. I will be praying for Kim, Owen, Sherry, Rodney and the rest of the family. 

Saying goodbye isn't what I want to do, saying I will see you soon says it all. I Love you man and I know I will see you soon. 

There are so many memories, so many laughs, so many times of pride. But where to start when I dont accept you have moved on from us. You just had to have the last word and yet I'm still talking! Your life is not going to be summed up by memories, it is going to live on in the hearts of your wife and your son! it will be carried and cherished by the rest of us until we see you again! this is not my goodbye, this is our 'not unless i see you first' thank you for being my friend and i am definatley better knowing you were never far away!

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lola S. McCraw, Edward A. McCraw Sr. and Alvin O. Sheffield. Anthony is survived by his dear wife, Kimberly E. Sheffield; and their beloved son, Owen James; mother and stepfather, Sherry and Rodney Estes; father, Paul Leighty (Mitzi); siblings, Jennifer Sheets (Shannon), James Leighty (Natalie); stepsiblings, Carol Melara, John, Christopher and Joshua Estes.
