Audrey Stanley Palmateer, of Highland Springs, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2014. Born July 10, 1924, Audrey is survived by her son, Larry P. Palmateer (Kitty); brother, James W. Stanley (Frances); grandson, Christopher J. Palmateer (Anne Marie); five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Audrey was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Highland Springs and loved crocheting, spending time with family and friends, and sitting on her front porch, in Deltaville, looking out at the Chesapeake Bay. Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231; where a funeral service will be conducted, Monday, June 23 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
