Bernard LaVerne Jordan, Jr.

JORDAN Jr., Bernard L., 88, of Sandston, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jordan; and his brother, Kenneth Jordan. Bernard worked as a truck driver and was a former employee of the State of Virginia. He was a long time member of Antioch Baptist Church, a Mason, and he served in the Virginia Army National Guard. Bernard enjoyed all things horses which included, Horse Shows and Rodeos as well as using ponies to pull his wagon. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his son; Trey Jordan (Cyndi); grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Holly; siblings, Owen Jordan and Carolyn Stevens (David); and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 5 – 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 in the Chapel, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park in Sandston.
