She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Seth “Buster” Covitz.
She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Providence Forge, Virginia. She loved her daily bible reading, listening to Casting Crowns, flowers, fishing, going to the river and her cats, Chloe and Bandit. She attended Elder Day and Senior Day at the Chickahominy Indian Tribe twice a month, and above all else, she loved Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Covitz and Becki Gooch (Vince); a sister, Helen Stanley and extended family, Jenny, Bobby, Aleigh and Ella Puckett, Donna and Chad Rambo.
The family will receive friends, 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will be held 11 am, Friday, March 22 at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to Heritage Baptist Church or to the Chickahominy Indian Tribe.
