Bessie B. White

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Powell and Ruby Powell and her brother, Henry Powell.

Bessie carried many titles as she worked as a devoted homemaker for her family. She enjoyed soap operas, Elvis Presley movies and music, old westerns and lunch with her family on the weekends.

Left to cherish her memory is her spouse, Phillip R. White, Sr.; children, Robert C. Powell, Sr. (Linda) and Melvin R. White (Harriet); and her siblings, Charlie Powell, Rosie Williams, Lottey Foster, Josephine Bristow, and Pawsy Sibley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Virginia 23231 where a service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
