Betty V. Black, 80, of Richmond, formerly of Charles City, passed away on October 4, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, James Leonard Black and her devoted daughter, Donna Leigh. Mrs. Black was retired from BB&T with over 40 years of service. She was a member at Westover Episcopal Church in Charles City. She is survived by her son, Mark Wesley Black; grandsons, Aaron Leonard Black (Jenn) and James Brannan Black; great-grandson, James Wesley Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, and caring friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00a.m. in Westover Episcopal Church Cemetery, 6401 John Tyler Memorial Hwy, Charles City, VA 23030.
