I am so sorry to hear about Betty's passing. I had met her and Jim when I was in the Boy Scouts and the OA. Betty and I had earned the Vigil Honor in the OA in 1993. She was a sweet woman and she will be missed.

Betty was my neighbor, she lived across the street from for the past 15 years. I still have her note on my fridge from Jan. To keep an eye on her house while she was on a trip, and to call the police if I saw anybody making off with her stuff!  Such a sweet lady.  We shared a Christmas dinner with our other neighbors before they moved to their river home in Jan.  I had no idea this happened and I'm her neighbor.  My condolences to all of her family.  I will keep you in my prayers.

I am so sorry I was unable to come by the funeral home.  My mother was being d/c from the hospital to rehab at Sheltering Arms.  Betty was such an amazing person and what a heart she had.  The mark both she and Jim left on the Sheltering Arms program will always be remembered.  Even after Jim passed she gave so much to the program; group sewing projects, donating hand made much needed aprons, the ladies tea  and men's coffee. I have not seen Betty or Jim in years.But the time we shared in the BSA have engraved fond memories in my past.Ones that I will never forget.I have no doubt if there is a camp in Heaven,they are going to be a part of it.Thanks for the memories....Eddie Browning

I knew Betty through Boy Scouts of America, Area 7, Southern Region Camp Visitation Committee. She was an outstanding, energetic, Camp Visitor. I enjoyed her leadership to the NCAP process.

I knew Betty through Scouting. She was an energetic and delightful person. We shared many happy moments as we taught Scouters. I enjoyed her friendship and her leadership. She will be missed by many.

I am so sorry for this loss in your family Bill. You are in my prayers. May she see the face of God. Peace be with you all.

I am just so sad. I loved Betty so much and loved our time together in Huntsville. She and I had many long conversations. She was certainly a close friend of mine and my heart hurts. So young. May God hold the family closely during this sad time. She would want you to feel God's strength since she loved our Lord so much. She loved her family and talked much about you. Prayers to get through this terrible loss. I will miss her too. Thank you for sharing her with me.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to have Betty in my life for a short time.  She always had the answer to every random question that she was asked and answered in the way a true teacher would.  With kindness, with patience, and always with a smile.   My prayers are with Betty's family.  She made an impact wherever she was and will be missed.

I met Betty in her role as sewing teacher. We became fast friends - I have been so very lucky. Her motivation, determination, generosity and energy were incredible. Betty was so deeply and personally involved in church, scouts, medical missions and sewing along with her family and friendships. An absolute dynamo gone too soon and who is missed already. I love you, Betty.

What can I say about Betty....she was sweet, she was kind, she was caring, she was talented.....on and on it would go.  She was a special lady and I loved her.  Charlotte Batchelor

Betty was a very special friend of mine.  She taught me so much not only sewing but life as well.  I can't believe she is gone.  She is in a much better place than we are.  My love and prayers go out to her family.

My daughter and have taken sewing classes with Betty over the past few years and not only learned a lot but had fun. I enjoyed sewing with her in our sewing club at Ultimate Sewing. She will certainly be missed.

Please except my deepest sympathy.  I knew your mom through Scouting and loved visiting with her whenever she came to the office.  I've known her for many years and though we didn't see each other outside of Scout functions, we always enjoyed talking about our families, especially our grandchildren.  I'm so sorry for what you're going through.  I know you will miss her, as will I.
