HUNSUCKER, Bonnie C., 87, of Charles City, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. She was a retired encoder, working for the Federal Reserve Bank and the Bank of Virginia. She was a member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in walks for Breast Cancer Research and the Alzheimer’s Association. She was a huge NASCAR fan and was a lap scorer for race car driver, Bobby Allison. Among her many interests were gardening, canning, fishing, singing in church, lighthouses and hummingbirds. But most of all she loved her family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reece B. Hunsucker, Sr. and is survived by her sons, Dane L. Hunsucker, Sr. and Reece B. Hunsucker, Jr. (Brenda); grandchildren, D. J. Hunsucker, Jennifer Hunsucker Miller (Kenny) and Reece B. Hunsucker III (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Addison Hunsucker, Macee Jo Hunsucker and Kenneth Miller III; and sister, Lois Gause Childers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2940 New Market Road, Henrico, VA 23231. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
