Calvin Bernard Bryant passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Born October 21, 1924 in Charles City, Calvin worked as a mechanic at Curles Neck Dairy. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WW II. If Calvin wasn't at the hunt club in New Kent County, you could find him in his big, vegetable garden.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernice C. Bryant and son, Calvin Victor Bryant; brother, Lawrence Bryant and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 11:00am at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Avenue Richmond, VA 23231. Burial will be at Washington Memorial Park. The family would like to send a very warm and sincere thank you for all their help to Pat Beavers, Cynthia Coe, Bon Secours Hospice and Care Advantage.
