HARDING, Carol Childress, age 78, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 surrounded by family, friends, and so much love. Carol was predeceased by her mother and father, Myrtle and Raymond Childress, her husband, John H. Harding Jr., and her son, John (“Trey”) Harding III. Carol is survived by her daughter and son in law, Tammy and Billy Stevens, her sister and brother in law, Barbara and Robert Flournoy, her grandchildren, Mindy Harding, Drew Stevens, and Carsan Stevens, and a host of other very special family and friends. Carol was retired from Hunton & Williams where long time friendships were born, was a member of Sandston Baptist Church where she volunteered regularly, and was a lifetime member of Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary where she spent much of her time after retirement volunteering. In lieu of flowers, Carol requested donations be made in her name to HVRS 5301 Huntsman Road, Richmond, VA 23250. Visitation will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Road.
