Fitrer, Chester Gilbert, 89, of New Kent, passed away May 1, 2014. He is survived by his wife Ursula Fitrer; son, Dr. Harold Fitrer and his wife Janet; two grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Fitrer; two sisters, Barbara Overly and Grace Madrio. Chester was a veteran in two wars. The family will receive friends, Sunday, May 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Ave, where the funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. Interment is private.
