Connie Sue Dunlow Harlow

She was preceded in death by her father, Raleigh Clarence “R.C.” Dunlow; her mother, Mable Hoggard Dunlow; and her brothers, Wallace O’Neal Dunlow and Clarence “Leavy” Dunlow.

Connie never met a stranger, just a friend she didn’t know yet. She was born in Bertie County, North Carolina; and moved to Varina, Henrico County, Virginia, in 1984. She loved children and worked in the Henrico County Schools as a Food Services worker for over 30 years. Connie also loved crafting, gardening, and all animals.

Connie is survived by her husband, Thomas Harlow; her daughters, Christina Harlow and Tammy Harlow; her daughter-in-law, Susan O’Dell; her beloved grandson, Austin Harlow; her sisters, Phyllis Rogers, Linda Willoughby, and Joan Parker; her brothers, Sidney Dunlow and Tony Dunlow; and her best friend, Cynthia Whittemore.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 8th from 6-8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 10 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park (6217 Memorial Dr. Sandston, VA 23150). There will be a reception at the Varina Ruritan Hall (8081 Recreation Rd, Richmond, VA 23231) on Thursday, July 9th, starting at 1 PM.

Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
