Delores "Dee" Clayton Cooper, 76, of Henrico, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was retired from Lucent Technologies and most recently worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Cooper. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda L. Alvis (Wayne), Dorothy L. Boling (George), and Barry L. Cooper (Ruth V.); 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Williams (Jerry); and close friends, Wanda Davis, Betty Valentino, Lynn Tomlin, and Candi Conley. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, Post 242, 21 J.B. Finley Road, Sandston, Va. 23150.
