She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Vaughan; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Lois Vaughan; and her maternal grandparents, Vernon and Alice Barker.
Diana served honorably in the United States Army. She was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School and later went on to John Tyler Community College.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Connie Blanton and her husband who was like a father to Diana, David Blanton; children, Alex Vaughan, Claudia Pultz, Madison Collins and Allison Collins; grandchildren, Baylor Pultz, Teddy Vaughan and Lilah Kellum; stepsiblings', Jason Blanton, Sonya Granai and Angela Purdy; aunts, Peggy Royster and Ruth Craig; and her cousins, William Craig, Jenna Dempsey and Todd Vaughan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2 p.m.
