I am saddened by the news of Doug's passing. Doug has been a staple within our pharmacy team since I have known him over the last 10 years. I always looked forward to hearing from him on a weekly basis. His voice and presence were so distinctive to me and that is one small way I will remember him. I am thankful for knowing Doug and having him as a colleague. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Doug was a great coworker. He shared his knowledge in a collegial manner. He was helpful and professional. He was always willing to help out. I learned a lot about pharmacy from Doug. He was a friend and I will miss him dearly.

Doug was a friend, colleague and mentor to me in the 15 years I knew him. His dedication to psychiatric pharmacy will be remembered for many, many years to come. In the years he worked with government health, he significantly impacted how mental health medications were used and improved care to many across this country. I am the clinician I am today because I learned so much from him! And I know there are countless other physicians and pharmacists out there who worked with Doug, and learned from him, who would say the same thing.

Doug spoke often to me about his family. Dale- he was so excited the day he told me he was going to be a grandpa to baby twins! I have twins of my own, and I am a twin, so it was special news that we shared together. He loved being a grandfather!

And I know he loved going back home to North Dakota to see family there.

I hope you will find peace in knowing that Doug was loved by so many people. While he is not with us, we remember the truly wonderful person he was. Prayers to you in this difficult time.
