Earle S. "Bubba" Sheffield Jr.

Earle S. “Bubba” Sheffield, Jr., 92, of Highland Springs, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne Mills. Mr. Sheffield is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mildred S. Sheffield; two children, Cheryl Walton and Kenneth L. Sheffield, Sr. (Linda); eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Seslar and Barbara Alley-Cyfers; one brother, James Edward Sheffield; and his loving dog, Sophie. Mr. Sheffield was an electrical contractor and started his business in 1951, Sheffield Electrical Co. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, a member of The American Legion, Post #144, and a lifelong member of New Bridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. The family wishes to give a special thanks to At Home Care Hospice.
