POMEROY, Eileen Burkett, 78, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Eileen is survived by her husband, John Russell Pomeroy, Jr.; children, Michael Pomeroy (Sandy), Mary-Louise Preston (Chuck), Christopher Pomeroy (Mary-Ellen) & Angela Pomeroy; grandchildren, Kayla, Lee & Larry; siblings, Kathleen Craig & Louis Fryzel. Eileen was a very proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va. 23231. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.
