Born November 26, 1935, Elizabeth lived a life marked by steady devotion—to family, to faith, and to the everyday work of caring well for others.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Duckworth; and her siblings, Wilbur Langford, Paul Langford, Helen Wilkerson, Archie Langford, and James Langford.
A retired grain trader with Southern States, Elizabeth brought diligence and reliability to her work, carrying those same qualities into her home life. She was a member of Fort Lee Baptist Church, and her faith remained a quiet, guiding presence throughout her years.
Elizabeth graduated from Charles City High School and was a member of the Eastern Star. She valued health and routine, enjoying exercise at the YMCA and taking walks with her family. She also found joy in the comforts that bring people together—cooking and entertaining for the holidays, shopping, and especially spending time at the beach, with Myrtle Beach holding a cherished place in her heart.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Carolyn Paige Duckworth and Roger Wayne Duckworth (Chryl); grandchildren, Amanda (Doug), Travis (Tiffany), Amber (Nathan), and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Ricky, Aaron, Wyatt, and Wayde; great-great grandson, Xander; and her sister, Iva Mildred Ramey.
