STEPHENS, Evelyn S., 74, of Sandston, passed away March 24, 2016. For 37 years Evelyn was a secretary for Henrico County. She also cherished the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Frederick Stephens; companion, Edwin Taylor; granddaughter, Elizabeth Johnson; and grandson, Jeremy Tinnel. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Tinnel (Herold) and Frances Johnson (David); grandchildren, James, Laura and Katy Tinnel, and Matthew and Hannah Johnson; and siblings, Raymond Stevenson and Rowena Carter. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum on Monday, March 28, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 2 p.m., with interment to follow in Washington Memorial Park.
