George Raymond Campbell

CAMPBELL, George Raymond, 84, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 02, 2014. Mr. Campbell served his country in the Unites States Navy for twenty years, and then retired with twenty years of service with General Electric. He was a member of Sandston Baptist Church, the Sandston American Legion, and served as a Master for the Masonic Lodge; Henrico Lodge # 130. George had four loves, his church, his family, the United State Navy, and the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Tibbs Campbell; sons, Dennis Campbell, Thomas Campbell; daughter, Gail Stiff (Scott), three granddaughters, Elizabeth Baber (Blake), Scotti Stiff, Stephanie Campbell; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 3:30- 5:30 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231; where a memorial service will follow at 5:30 pm. Interment is private.
