Gordon Cary Harris, 86, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the presence of his loving family. Gordon is a retired Senior Master Sargent of the United States Air Force, who received many awards and accolades for his dedicated service. He was a Mason and loved to work on Chevy cars. Gordon was a jack of all trades who truly mastered them all; including building the home he lived in until his passing. Gordon leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary L Harris; son Douglas R. Harris, and his caretaker and special family friend Melissa Englehart. The family has asked that a charitable donation be made in Gordon C. Harris’ name to the E. J. Wade Foundation at P.O. Box 930, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
