Survivors include his daughter, Karen Diane Haynes; son, Kerman Wayne Haynes; sisters, Brenda Houston (Ron), Diane Haynes; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was a former employee of Philip Morris USA and retired in 2008. Wayne enjoyed many years of boating on the Chickahominy River and was at his best when surrounded by those who shared the same passion.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 9 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
