She is a woman who cannot be compared. Never has a person been capable of loving and being loved so much! I learned the value of hard work, sharing, and small moments with loved ones from her. If only I could get as good at those things as she is. I am extremely grateful to have her in my life and to be able to call her my grandmother. Love you Nanny!

I lived across the street from Mrs. Jeter on Varina Road. She was a great neighbor and friend to all of us. Mrs. Jeter was one of the hardest working ladies that I have ever known. She always had a huge, beautiful garden and shared this with everyone. She took me and my sisters blackberry picking several times when we were kids. I watched her cut grass all summer long for many years and was amazed at her stamina. She always had time to sit and talk to me. Her home was always our first stop at Halloween, she gave the best treats! I loved Mrs. Jeter and have so many memories of this wonderful lady. My mom passed away in May and I am sure that she was there at the gates of Heaven to meet her long time neighbor and friend! I am so glad I got to live across the street from such a GREAT lady. I will miss her so much!
