DUKE, Helen Bonis Duke, 97 of the Masonic Home, Henrico, Virginia passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis J., and Anna M. Bonis, her dear husband, Frank Raymond Duke, Jr., and her daughter, Mary A. Duke. She is survived by her two sons, Frank R. Duke, III and Douglas C. Duke, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral service was private.
Helen graduated from John Marshall High School. Helen and Raymond wed on March 9, 1946. She worked at and retired from the C&O Railroad. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Highland Springs.
She will be greatly missed. A special thanks goes to all those responsible for her care at the Masonic Home of Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, for Community and Youth Services, 8154 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
There will be a Celebration of her life on Sunday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church.
