Hilda B. Groome

Hilda B. Groome, 97, of Richmond passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was a long standing member of Pine Street Baptist Church. ), She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion H. McCook and Carl E. Groome; and two daughters, Barbara Riggleman and Marian McCook. She is survived by a son, Billy McCook (Carolyn); three grandchildren, Kenny Riggleman (Jennifer), Karen Greenwood and Chris McCook; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
