James “Jimmy” K. Davis, Sr., 56, of Sandston, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2015. Jimmy was a fire mechanic and firefighter for Henrico county for 37 years, a member of the New Bridge Baptist Church and a volunteer firefighter for the Black Creek Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene “Momma Davis” and grandfather, James Morris Sr., “Daddy Morris.” He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; children, Ryan, Mikey and Kent; grandchildren, Jordan, Bryan, Alexah, Trevor, Andrew and Ainsley; nieces, Linnea and Taylor; and nephew, Ty. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10 from 6-8pm and Friday, September 11 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA 23231, where services will be held on Monday, September 14 at 12pm. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
