James McAfee

James McAfee, 87, of Tidewater, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. James was a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland and had been a Peninsula resident since 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. David and Julia Drummond McAfee; sisters, Julia “June” Campbell, Isabel “Ginger” Buzard; and daughter, Deborah McAfee Tressler. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Diane Jenkins (Stephen) of Waverly, Va., and Jeanine McAfee of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Wendy Acevedo, Michael Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jacob Acevedo; and sister, Terri McAfee Artman of Yorktown, Va. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 11, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231.
