Not long after Pastor Jeremy came to serve as pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church, I called to welcome him to the New Kent community. He was so excited about this assignment and I knew then that he would have an amazing ministry. Hopewell Baptist family, as difficult as this season is, know that God's favor is on you. Always remember that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus (Phil. 1:6). I choose to believe that somewhere beyond the veil of this life Pastor Jeremy is still watching over you and cheering you on.

I remember meeting Jeremy and Audra at my rummage sale. Audra and l hit it off and as they was leaving God spoke to me and said invite them over. So we had them over and sat at the table and talked. I was so glad to call them my friends such genuine good hearted people. Jeremy had a smile on his face every time we seen him. Jeremy will forever be in our thoughts and hearts and his love for God was seen. He was a amazing man and father. Rest in peace our dear friend.

I met Pastor Jeremy and his family at Whitfield Baptist church in Belton,SC he was a great pastor God fearing man, a great leader, and a great family man. I have had the pleasure of having wonderful talks with Jeremy and walking with him and in a bad situation. I know we are as people kind of selfish as I did not want Pastor Jeremy to leave but GOD had bigger plans for Jeremy. I miss Pastor Jeremy his faithfulness to GOD and his family and his flock was wonderful to be able to see. Pastor Jeremy we will miss you greatly and will see you soon. Jeff Davenport and family.

We had the honor to meet Jeremy and his sweet wife and family when we all were in our early 20’s.
We’ve had the privilege to sing for the two church’s he pastored. One in Michigan, and his one in Virginia.

What a faithful man he was to first of all his savior, and secondly to his family.
He was a humble servant of God. Always serving with a willing heart & a smile on his face.
We will miss him down here with his family, but we are so thankful for that hello after goodbye.
Heaven…..won’t it be wonderful there!

When I get there, you all are welcome for dinner at my table, in my mansion. We will see you soon, Jeremy.

Jeremy was a great Associate Pastor to me, so much so that it was clear he was meant to be a lead Pastor, which he was ever since. Originally he was an online follower of my sermon ministry, and I am so thankful that God used that to bring him to town, especially when I consider all that the Lord did in the ministry and all the great friends he gained for eternity.
Most of all I appreciate the work he did in my three teens. They all have tears as they instruct me to say “thank you, Jeremy”, and “We love you Ms. Audra, Katiana, Kalista, Korinna, Nick and Logan. We look forward to spending eternity with you, as well as Jeremy and Karissa.”

In life, there are friends, and then there are FRIENDS. Jeremy was a FRIEND for me. God in His providence put me as a shy 7th grader in the rear of a church van with Jeremy, a high school senior, many years ago on the way to a youth group outing. That meeting led to a life-long friendship which I appreciate more than I can express. While I could write a book describing that, I will let Proverbs 17:17 sum it up: "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." Thank you, Jeremy, for being a friend and brother for me. And thank you, Lord, for letting our paths cross.

I went to a Baptist church in Cedar Rapids IA that Jeremy's parents pastored back in the 1980's and I can just assume what a wonderful man he was just by how his parents are. My deepest sympathies on the loss of this wonderful man. I pray God comforts all of you and that Jeremy's testimony will bring salvation to many. God Bless you all.
