OLGERS, Jerry Linwood, also known as Uncle Baldy, 66, of Varina, played his last gig on December 28, 2016. He was a member of Union Local 10. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry Olgers. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Chris A. Olgers; three daughters, Julie A. Olgers, Tina B. Griffin, and Tracy A. Fadley (Danny); Baldy’s Baseball Team of 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; parents, Sam and Geneva Olgers; one brother; two sisters; and a host of wonderful friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home on Laburnum. Services will be held at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church on January 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery will follow.
