Jo Ann Fowler

FOWLER, Jo Ann, 68, of New Kent County, passed away on May 22, 2015. Jo Ann was a CNA of Companion Extraordinaire, member of West Point Church of God, Sunday school teacher, participated in nursing home and prison ministry through Southern Gospel Singers. She is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Jo Ann is survived by her husband, George R. Fowler; son, Rodney Woodard; daughter, Shean Shields; niece and adopted daughter, Tarana Barnes; step-sons, George J. Fowler, and William Fowler; twelve grandchildren; siblings, Danny Townsend, and Herbert Leroy Townsend, Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26 from 4-8pm and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 11am. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond. Burial will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to West Point Church of God.
