She continually professed her faith and would answer every phone call with “Praise the Lord.” Joanne believed in supporting The Gideons International to distribute Bibles worldwide. The Gideons believe God’s word is not only relevant, but also powerful. Joanne insisted her family attend church and its many programs. She shared many Children’s Bible Hour DVDs with grandchildren and great grandchildren ensuring their growth with God. Joanne had a love for birds, especially cardinals, and enjoyed feeding them and the squirrels out of her front door. She was infamous for her homemade rolls that were always requested by her family and at covered dish meals at Newbridge Baptist Church. C.T. had a passion for ice cream and she always ensured many batches of her famous homemade peach ice cream were in the house.
