Joseph Edward Michaux

MICHAUX, Joseph E., 89, of Henrico, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Michaux; daughter, Vicki Carroll; and sister, Ollie Culbertson. He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Michaux II (Lynn); daughters, Paige Robison (Don), Trudy Blake (Gary), Holly Waltrip (Lin); grandchildren, Kim Thayer (Gene), Michele Howell (Brett), Mickey Sanford, Kristi Previs (Jonathan), Matt Carroll (Megan), Leslie English (Patrick), Lauren Kirchgassner (Joe), Candace Scott (Donavan), Brittany Riggs (Ryan), Erica Walters (Eric); 17 great- grandchildren; sister, Mary Tiller; brother, Paul Michaux (Winifred); and many other family members and friends. Joseph served our country in the United States Marine Corp, and retired from the State of VA Weights and Measures with 38 years of service. He was also a member of the Masonic Babcock Lodge # 322 for 50 plus years. He loved the outdoors and animals, especially beagle dogs. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and field trials. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 5-8pm and a Masonic service at 7pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231; where a funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2pm. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
