Josephine C. Powell

POWELL, Josephine C., 89, of Charles City, departed this life on Sunday, May 5, 2019. She worked for Duplex Envelope Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Powell Sr.; sons, Thomas Lee Powell and Charles B. Powell Jr. (Ann). She is survived by her children, Brenda C. White (Stanley), Michael Powell (Susan) and Richard Powell (Judy); 15 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardy Central Baptist Church.
