CARTER, Karen Bolling, 63, of Highland Springs, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 4, 2019. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Richard; two loving daughters, Crystal (Mike) and Kettie (Andy); six grandchildren; two sisters, Laura and Nancy; two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. The family has requested all attending the service to dress casual. Online condolences may be made at nelsenrichmond.com.

As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens. There really are no words to shield you from this pain. To Crystal and Kettie Just remember say not in grief that your momma is gone. Just be thankful that she was yours.
