

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, “Jim” Linkenhoker; parents, James and Catherine Ervin; stepson, Jamie Linkenhoker; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Ross, Jack Linkenhoker.
Adele retired from Philip Morris as a word processor. She was a member of the Quinton Volunteer Fire and EMS Co. 2. In her free time, Adele enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and quilting.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kenny Shieder (Connie), Jimmy Shieder (Avis), Donna Suite; stepchildren, Elizabeth Engle, George Linkenhoker, Kathleen Linkenhoker, Charlie Linkenhoker; grandchildren, Amy Suite, Vickie Duke, Christopher Shieder of Maryland, Jon Shieder, Chris Shieder of Ohio, Charles Linkenhoker Jr., Stacey Linkenhoker, Shawn Panholzer, Christina Linkenhoker, Virginia Balsden, Heather Brotherton, Cindy Hancock, Meghan Lloyd, Thomas Lloyd; furbaby, Lucy; as well as numerous great grandchildren and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
